Mar 22nd to Apr 23rd - Para medir um mar | Daisy Xavier
In this exhibition the artist presents drawings done with nets woven with threads that are poured over paper, almost liquid. These wires, used to measure small areas of sea, are further processed into fabrics and nets. Each net represents a piece of sea. The act of weaving is a way of articulating thought, repetitive motion creates a torque meter, which scales the space and time. The net at the same time being able to retain things, ensures that they remain visible, signals the reciprocity between inside and out and creates a constant exchange and communication between two means.
